About
Auctions4Games.com is all about home game systems… It started with a search for choosing the right home game console (and trying to find it at the right price). Trying to decide between the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, I came up with more questions than answers. Cost for the game system, cost for the average game, general age-related issues (since I am a parent), and, of course, the gadget-factor…
I’m a guy who loves gadgets.
But, my wife is a woman who loves deals, coupons, sales, etc.
So, that’s precisely why I started Auctions4Games.com. In an effort to help people choose the right game system for them – the gadget lovers and the deal seekers.
Why the word “auctions”? Well, two reasons… (1) the gaming market is saturated, so there are not a lot of domain names to choose from, and (2) in searching for deals, I found that when people posted niche auctions, it was helpful for me.
Sure, you can just as easily go to eBay and start searching for things you want… but what if, like me, you’re not sure what you want? Wouldn’t it be a good idea if you could read about things that would help you decide and conveniently have niched auctions for the very thing you choose, right there? Readily available?
Now, for a little financial disclosure… This site does not exist only because of a love for video games and gadgets. It also earns revenue. Here’s how… some of the links to products and services are affiliate links. It means that this site earns a small percentage of any sales after you click through the link. Does that mean I’m going to link to things just to earn money? No. Some of the links are commission-based. Many are not. I am putting in my time and money to make this site, but I am not in the business of giving bad advice.
If you don’t want me to earn commission, then feel free to use this site for information purposes… read the articles, research the video games, accessories, and consoles… then go to whichever site you want to purchase them. Not a big deal.
More important to me is that you give feedback. Post some comments after the articles – tell me why you like a particular posting, or why you disagree. Or, tell other readers about your experiences with a game or game system. If you love the Wii, then say so right after the Nintendo Wii article. If you switched from PlayStation to Xbox, go ahead and comment after a comparison article. Others may find your opinions helpful.
